Sabine Manthey, geboren 1960, ist eine niederrheinische Künstlerin und überzeugte Autodidaktin. Ihr Stil lässt sich nicht festlegen und ist zwischen sehr modern bis abstrakt einzuordnen. Diverse Techniken und Materialien verarbeitet sie zu farbenfrohen und geschmackvollen Unikaten. Lange Zeit hat sich die Künstlerin, mit Aquarellmalerei beschäftigt. Aus beruflichen Gründen pausierte sie mit der Malerei. Seit 2002 ist sie wieder künstlerisch tätig, und ihre Kunstwerke sind mittlerweilelandesweit bei privaten Liebhabern zu finden. Alle meine Gemälde sind auf Leinwand gemalt und bereits auf Keilrahmen aufgezogen. Die Seiten sind farblich passend ummalt, so das das Gemälde auch ohne Rahmen direkt aufgehangen werden kann. Ich male in verschiedenen Techniken (Spachteltechnik, Sand, manchmal auch reines Kaffeepulver etc.) vorwiegend mit Acryl, von Zeit zu Zeit aber auch mit Öl. I was born in Germany near Duesseldorf in 1960 and still live close to Duesseldorf in a small city called Kaarst. I have never visited an art school. I am an autodidact; my colourful abstract paintings are popular in Germany and you can find them either in private homes and/or offices. Three years ago, I started my first acrylic paintings as my husband and I needed new paintings for our new home and we couldn’t find anything appropriate in art galleries and such. I used to paint in our kitchen (so there was no place to cook a meal . – Now I have my own little gallery in the lower level of our home. All my paintings are made on stretched canvas/wooden frame, the sites are coloured with the matching color, so no additional frame is necessary. All paintings are sealed with varnish. I am painting with different techniques. Sometimes it’s only acrylic, sometimes oil, sometimes I am using sand or even real ground coffee so that the paintings smell nicely
